Chapter 391
“Let me go!” she screamed.
Jessica let out a weak groan, her fingers trembling as she pressed them against her wound. Blood seeped between her fingers, her breaths coming out in ragged gasps.
The guard who had shot her stood over her, a cruel smirk on his lips. “Should’ve stayed put, sweetheart.”
Hannah’s blood boiled. “You son of a—”
A fist collided with her stomach, knocking the air from her lungs.
She coughed violently, her knees buckling, but the guards held her up, dragging her and Jessica back toward their cell.
Jessica’s face was pale, her body shaking. Hannah’s mind raced. This was bad—really bad.
They were thrown back into the cold concrete room, the metal door slamming shut behind them.
Jessica whimpered, her breath hitching. “H-Hannah…”
Hannah crawled over to her, pressing her hands against the wound. The blood was still flowing. Too much.
“Hold on, Jess,” Hannah pleaded. “Just hold on.”
