Chapter 11. Hearts and Breaks

Joy’s POV

Buzz. Buzz. Buzz.

“Hello?” I picked up my phone without checking the caller ID while I hurried towards my bike.

“Greetings Alpha!” came in a cheery voice.

“Uh oh!” I replied in dismay, feeling sad all of a sudden. I had been dreading this all night after my brothers and dads left. I felt bad, really bad.

“What happened?” Dante asked worriedly, recognizing the dead sad tone in my voice. He was a good Beta.

“So we are officially over, isn’t it? You greeted me as your Alpha. So formal, Beta Dante. I feel heartbroken even if this was fake,” I brokenly said. I felt tears brimming up my eyes.

I sound so pathetic, scratch that, I feel so pathetic, oh shit!

But it felt like my whole world was crumbling down for something I never had in the first place!!

Did a break up to a fake relationship hurt that bad?

It seemed like the whole wide world was screaming that they were right about the nerd all along. Internal demon
