Chapter 40. Scary-Go-Round

Zoe’s POV

“You are such a cry baby, Lucan,” I teased my shaky mate as we got off the roller coaster.

I had thought that I would pretend to be scared and get a bit touchy with my mate but it turned out that the serious and unapproachable demeanor he put up on the front was instantly vaporized to a panic-stricken, shrieking Alpha as we got into the six flags roller coaster.

He clung to me as if his life depended on how hard he could squeeze the pulp out of me and finally, I ended up kissing him numerous times before he calmed down.

“I swear I will rip off that wretched Zarek’s head from his pretty body,” Lucan hissed for the nth time.

Now, I understood why he was so pushy about sending Lucan and me to the ride.

I laughed inwardly at his practical joke so that Lucan did not get further offended.

Damn these boys! They are so fun.
