Chapter 17. Sister in Distress

Kai’s POV

“Hello boys! I have been waiting for you since so long,” Mom said and smiled at us.

Surprisingly, Samantha was there too. I thought Dad C had said everyone went to school?!

“Samantha, why are you here?” I asked. Of course, the element of surprise laced my voice heavily.

When Samantha remained mum for another ten seconds, I tilted my head and stared at her with an expectant look, “Well?”

“C’mon Samantha! Tell your brother how you embarrassed your Chemistry teacher at school,” Mom said in an annoyed tone. By her looks and voice, I could sense something dangerously malicious about the situation and I felt like an idiot who was adding to my dear sister’s worry.

“I am sorry mom,” Samantha mumbled.

“Don’t say it when you don’t mean it. I sent you all to your schools of choice but I

expected you to respect me enough to follow those rules. How do you explain your behaviour, young lady?” Mom scolded.

“Mom, she said sorry.
