Chapter 69. Sunday Morning Chaos
He grabbed a box of pancake mix and immediately dropped the entire container, sending a white dust into the air.
“Dear God,” Jared muttered in exasperation, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Sunday morning had started out peacefully. They had woken up mid-morning, had some carnal fun, lazied around cuddling before they decided to get up and have breakfast… just a regular, peaceful weekend.
But the blissfully easy day ended when Beck announced that he would be in charge of making breakfast.
Sunlight streamed through the kitchen windows, catching in the fine dust of powder that had somehow already found its way onto every surface. Beck stood at the counter with a mixing bowl, looking far too confident for someone who had never successfully cooked anything in his life.
“Whisk the eggs gently,” Jared said. “Not beat them into submission.”
