Chapter 31

“What did you just say?” Alpha Rowan’s voice loomed in the background and Sienna shrieked in terror. She was about to ask the prince for a favor which was really important and starting on a bad note wouldn't eventually land in something right.

“He heard me, right?” She asked herself. “There's no need to lie, right now. Let me just apologize and go straight to the point.” Just then an idea got into her mind.

“I wasn't talking to you, I'm talking to–”

“Who?” Alpha Rowan interrupted.

“One of the guards here.” She uttered sharply, trying hard to maintain her confidence. “My best friend came to visit me and caught them maltreating me, they stopped me from going out to get something to clean the mess in my room–” She feigned a fake cry, sniffing.

“So she stepped up to defend me, feeling I wasn't being treated well. In the process, she ended up giving a slap to the guard.”

“I swear she just did that to protect me and not because she's unruly.” Sienn
