Chapter 126. Parting Embrace

Nolan’s POV

I parked my car and rushed home hoping to get to my dad’s pack before nightfall. I brought out my keys to unlock the door but when I placed my hand on the doorknob, it opened on its own. I frowned, I was sure I had locked the door before I left. Did someone perhaps break in? I carefully opened the door and walked in fully alert. But who would dare break into my house? I thought as I slowly put one foot in front of another. I stopped in my steps abruptly when I saw the state my house was in. It was a mess.

"Boss, you are back," Jackson said walking into the living room wearing my favorite bathrobe.

"You are back early. We thought you were going to stay out for a while," Tyler responded, holding two cans of beer. He threw one towards Jackson who caught it. I blinked repeatedly thinking it was a dream but it wasn’t.
