I dropped my tray on the table laughing out loud at a joke Andrea made after getting our food from the counter. We each took our seats but there was one empty seat left. It was meant for Matt. Jade and I kept quiet as she stared at it for a while. She looked back at us with a forced smile.

"I’m fine guys. No need to stare at me like I’m about to die from a disease," she said with an eye roll.

"Aside from Matt, who is the other scholarship student?" I asked curiously and also tried to change the moody atmosphere. I had never heard of or seen the other student. We all only knew Matt.
