Chapter 69. Caught in the Act

Nolan’s POV

I arrived at school later than everyone else. I never wanted to come but how could I leave my little kitten all alone unattended to? The thought of her brought a contended smile to my face. I got out of the car and walked towards the school entrance while bringing out a packet of cigarettes. I placed it on my lips and checked my pockets for a lighter.

"Were you looking for this?" a voice asked. I glanced towards him and my expression hardened.

"What the fuck are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in your pack being daddy’s little errand boy?" I spat angrily.

He smiled. "Chill out brother. I was just handing you a lighter which I presumed you needed badly."

"You can go to hell with your lighter," I responded willing myself not to get angry. I continued walking towards the school premises but he stepped in front of me stopping me abruptly.

"I wasn’t done talking," he declared.
