Hazel's POV

Hailen looked at me, stunned and confused. "I never mentioned her name. How did you know?"

"That was the secret I was telling you about."

"What?"

Hailen placed her palms over her mouth; she probably felt like screaming and didn’t want to.

"Yes. But please don’t tell anyone. The Alpha won’t believe it, so he has to find out for himself; otherwise, if the story gets out before he finds out for himself, whoever he discovers is the person behind it, and he will be punished by him. We have to be careful."

Hailen could only nod. She bobbed her head repeatedly as if she wanted to pull it off her neck.

"Don’t be that surprised, Hailen."

"Why? This warrants one to be gobsmacked. I mean, I always knew she was mean, but not to this extent."

"Your Ragel was right."

I was half expecting her to correct me about referring to the Omega as hers, but I guess she was still too stunned to actually care or maybe not
