Hazel's POV

"What’s wrong with you, Hazel? You’re getting rather worse; maybe I should tell the Alpha to get you the pack’s doctor. Though, honestly, I don’t know if he could nurse a human, but what’s the difference, really? Since we’re usually in our human form when we’re being treated."

Hailen was back, and she was with a lot of towels, an empty bowl, and a thick ash blanket. I wanted to sigh in gratitude, but I couldn’t, not yet. There was a more pressing matter causing heartburn at the moment, and I needed answers. Not answers that were as vague as Zara’s but a clear, precise one that would clarify things up for me.

I gripped her arm; it wasn’t hard enough since I was very weak, but it was enough to make her squint her eyes curiously at me. The general weakness of my body was making it hard for me to form words, but I forced some out.
