Chapter 7
What had I just seen? What did that vision mean? Why was I carrying the Alpha on my back? It was even unbelievable to lift a man who had twice or three times my weight and was way taller than me.
And a sword? I have never even brandished a knife before. Talk about confidently wielding a heavy-looking sword. Was this some kind of joke? I needed to understand what was happening.
She cleared her eyes and focused on me. They were back to their ocean blue, just like her twin sister’s. They really did look so much alike. There was not a single difference in their features. Even the way she talked and smiled was all Mama Lia.
She looked at me for a very long time, and I began to squirm under her observing gaze — it was direct and sharp. Not the wicked kind of sharp, but the type that insinuated that she probably didn’t want to miss any interesting things about me.
I wondered what was interesting about me.
"Do you know who you are?"
I shook my head.
