Alpha Arthur’s POV
I hated her. Everything about her disgusted me. It had been pure loathing the first day I saw her being dragged into my pack mansion. A small, dirty human. Her people did a lot to us, almost wiped out a lot of our people fourteen years ago. Their attack had injured the previous Alpha, my father. A spinal injury he suffered from until he died.
Ever since, I swore vengeance. My pack is not happy with me, but there’s nothing any one of them could do about it; I remained the Alpha. And though I couldn’t tell why I let the disgusting girl be thrown in a cell instead of being beheaded immediately or worked to death, my wolf later told me it was for a purpose.
"I still maintain that it’s for a purpose, Arthur," my wolf put in.
"Shut up, Caden."
"Don’t you order me to shut up? I’m an Alpha wolf!"
Caden growled threateningly in my head. At least we have one thing in common: anger issues.
