Chapter 73. Emly Ordered

Three days had passed since Zidant gave the order to Gio. The days felt long, and uncertainty crept into Zidant's mind. He sat at his desk in the office, staring at his empty computer screen and watching the clock on the wall tick slowly. His mind kept wandering to Gio, his coworker who was conducting such an important investigation.

As of this moment, Gio hadn't provided any information yet, and Zidant was growing increasingly anxious.

"Why is it taking so long?"

"What's wrong, Zidant?"

Zidant fell silent as he saw Emly returning to his office. "Nothing." Zidant stood up and walked out of his office. However, Emly grabbed his hand, stopping him in his tracks.

"What's going on?" Zidant asked.

"I brought lunch as usual. Where are you going?" Emly spoke softly.

"I have some business. Just wait here!" After saying that, Zidant left quickly, leaving Emly behind.

Emly had no choice but to wait for Zidant. "It seems like Zidant will be back soon."<
