Chapter 74. Surprise and Anger

Selena felt relieved that, for the past two weeks, she had not received any more threats from those men, and her grandmother's health was improving. However, Selena's curiosity remained high about who those men truly were and what their motives were.

When Selena tried to investigate further, she hit a dead end as the minimarket that might have had information about those people was closed. This left her confused and frustrated as she lacked connections to help her uncover the truth.

Suddenly, Selena felt a sharp pain in her abdomen, causing her to abandon her quest to find out more about the men she once considered friends. She rubbed her stomach and prayed that her unborn child would be okay.

"I'll try to ensure that my child is acknowledged by Zidant; that's all I want," Selena murmured.

Selena headed towards the bus stop to return home but was stopped in her tracks when she saw someone she knew. Selena, who had been calm, turned into anger and rage.
