Chapter 72. Good Chance

Amid the bustling city, days and nights blended. However, Zidant continued to confine himself to his office, distancing himself from the mansion that had once held precious moments with Selena. Days turned into weeks since he had decided to drive Selena away. His strong hands now only held endless stacks of work.

Gio, Zidant's assistant, silently witnessed his boss's drastic transformation. They had worked together for years, and Gio sensed that his boss was deeply saddened. Yet, his boss directed this emotion towards anger. On the other hand, Gio was certain that his boss was harbouring feelings, which made him deeply concerned.

"Mr. Zidant, your face shows no expression. It saddens me," Gio, who stood beside his boss, commented.

"Why don't you just stay silent? Leave from here!" Zidant retorted.

"It's nighttime, sir, and it's time to go home. You have no more work left," Gio said.

Zidant, who had been staring at documents, shifted his attention to his
