“Get the legal team to work on it right now, Cheryl,” I barked into my phone as I walked to my office.
“Of course, sir,” she said, her voice ever so calm and professional even in the middle of the mental crises that I'm about to face.
I gritted my teeth, I hated it when she talks to me like that. Like I was a petulant child going through a phase and she was the ever-loving mother.
“I would like a feedback report based on what I asked you to do earlier when you get back.” Com'on give something, a reaction.
“Sure thing, sir. The report would be on your desk before you could even blink.”
I rolled my eyes. Whatever. “Good, see you in a few,” I said and hung up.
Striding to my office, I unlocked it and stepped inside. My gaze drifted to the floor–to–ceiling windows and I exhaled. I've got work to do.
