“Cheryl, over here,” I heard Gwen call me as soon as I stepped into the restaurant.

Throwing a glance to my left, I immediately spotted them sitting in a booth at the far end of the restaurant.

“Nice choice of restaurant,” I said upon sitting down beside Gwen.

Mia narrowed her eyes on me. “You are late.”

I rezzed up a dazzling smile. “Thank you for the reminder, girlfriend.”

She scoffed but her mouth curved with a small smile.

“Well, it seems like I'm not the only one running late,” I mumbled under my breath and picked up the menu. “Have you guys ordered yet?”

“Nope,” Ellie answered. “We were waiting for Kyle and you to arrive first.”

Gwen's head jerked up from where she was busy texting away on her phone. “Wait… Kyle? Which Kyle?”

Well, shit. Guess I forgot to inform Gwen of Kyle's return.

“Kyle Giles, of course,” Mia spoke up and snatched the menu from my hands. “Why? Cheryl didn't tell you he was back.”<
