Chapter 24. The Stretchmark
I was coughing for a week now, after admitting to Jaxon how my heart truly felt on that stormy night. The next day, I developed a fever, but I didn't alert him. Although I was feeling a little better now, I was still suffering from chills and runny noses, as well as a cough that felt like it would to tear my lungs out.
Now that he visited “OUR” room after a week of not coming out, I couldn’t hide it anymore. “Why you didn’t tell me? I could’ve asked the doctor and have a quick scanned to you.”
“I told you, stop making a big deal out of it. I’m really fine.”
He glanced at me intently as if he was trying to figure out whether I was telling the truth. At the end, he could only sigh when he saw no trace of deception in my eyes. Latterly, he said his last retort. “It is impossible for me to be mistaken because Black can trace every feelings you are feeling.
