Chapter 59. Apologize

“Helene said something to trigger me, and now she was acting as if I was the one who pushed myself to attack her. As the alpha, you should be fair and will listen to both sides of the story, right?” Veronica pursed her lips as her eyes became fierce.

After Jaxon heard what Veronica had told him, he felt disrespected and humiliated by her. He growled loudly and tried to calm himself from attacking Veronica again.

Veronica was such a fighter, and now she was acting differently, as if she could fight with him in so many ways, which made Jaxon want to cut the pride and courage that Veronica had. His hand's ball balled into a fist and gave Veronica a warning glare.

“Are you provoking me again, Veronica? It looks like you didn't even learn what you needed to know about what happened before I left this room.” Jaxon was trying to tell Veronica that she must stop because he might end up strangling her again. Veronica realized what Jaxon was trying to say and smirked at him.
