Chapter 79. Rogues Attack

“Are you too mad at him that you didn't want to see him? There were a lot of women who wanted to be his mate. You're lucky that you are the chosen one.” The man smirked when he finally let out his sarcastic words. She pursed her lips and continued eating her meal. She swallowed hard.

“I don't want to say everything that you just need to know. Alpha Jaxon is the cruelest Alpha that I had ever known. He's the enemy of my parent's pack. I was about to inherit my pack. I'm too stupid that I ate their trap.” She honestly admitted. The man gasped but it took him a minute to hide his emotion.

He took another bite and shook his head in disappointment before he said, “You're not stupid. It's about the mate bond. Some Alphas didn't like to see their mate. They might be their strength, but having a mate means you have a weakness. The mate bond controlled the werewolf's lives.”

“What do you mean?” She was confused. She couldn't understand what the man had been telling her.
