Chapter 103. Unwanted Attention
"Tell me what you’re thinking about right now." He laughs, which pulls me out of my thoughts and makes my cheeks even redder.
"Do you think we’ll be alone today?" I ask when I look at our hands. I can’t help but feel a shy smile pulling at the edges of my mouth, but I try to stop it.
"Why would you want to be alone, Chloe?" He whispers the question. I shrug my shoulders to cover the fact that I’m shy.
"I don’t see why." He laughs when I whisper. I keep looking around to see if anyone is listening, but no one is.
"You shouldn’t be so down on yourself." When he talks about it, I just shrug.
