Chapter 141. Homecoming
We head inside and I take a deep breath, walking inside our house. I always feel happy when I am at my family’s house, like I am somewhere safe and full of love. Mom has a cinnamon candle lit, and I can hear noise coming from the kitchen.
What does that smell like? I laugh when Nash asks.
"Mom loves scented candles, so it is probably one she found on sale somewhere." I tell them, not knowing where the almost offensive candle was. Nash did not like strong smells because, according to him, they gave him headaches. "Sorry."
"It is fine, but do not burn things like that at our house." He says something, and I laugh and reach for his hand.
"Hello?" Mom jumps up from the stove and runs over when I call and bring Nash to the kitchen.
