Chapter 140. Battling Anxiety
"What did you do for Valentine’s Day?" Mom asks as I press my lips together and hold my phone to my ear.
The day before my birthday is Saturday. Nash was going to come with me when I went home today to meet my parents for lunch. When I called mom, all I wanted to do was confirm some details about what time to be there, but in typical mom form, she started asking me other questions.
"Not much, we just made dinner and gave each other gifts," she said. I shrug. "The weekend was much more exciting in New York."
"That is great!" She murmurs, and I laugh. "So, you two can come at noon, right?"
"Yes, Nash said he had all day to himself." I shrug.
"How about your birthday? Do not you have any big plans for today?"
"Tomorrow is my birthday." I tell her, and she laughs. "No, we are just having lunch with you and dad today."
