Chapter 230. It's Just Training

It all happened so fast and I did not know what to do or how to react. But almost as if on instinct, something inside of me took over and I jumped out of the way. It was as if I was a puppet being controlled, but at the same time, it still felt like I had some control. 

Darco’s wolf slowed itself down after missing me. It then repositioned itself and stared at me, its eyes dark and cold. And I could tell that it was ready for its next attack. 

In the blink of an eye, it lunged my way again, but this time, I did not jump out of the way even though my brain was ringing alarm bells in my head. That was when it happened. The moment that I had wanted my whole teenage life. 

I felt it in my mind first and then it ran through my body. My bones ached as they elongated into another shape that felt familiar even though it was my first time doing this. I was shifting. Gosh, I was actually shifting!

My heart pounded hard in my chest and fur grew all over my body.
