Chapter 232. Talking with Vanessa

My heart skipped a beat. Vanessa? Why was she calling Darco’s phone? And why did she want to talk to me? So many thoughts were going through my mind, but the one that really had me closing my eyes for a few seconds was the vision that I had of her. 

I knew that it was true, it had to be. But at the same time, what if it was not? What if I had just hallucinated that whole thing because I had been so tired? That was a possibility. 

I answered the call and placed the phone to my ear as the dark alpha walked past me and went into the house. I stood there, waiting for her to say something. 

“Rue?” 

“Uh…yeah.” 

“Why didn’t you tell us? You had us worried. We had to get a call from Mother Theresa saying that you went missing, then later, she called us and told us that you were not missing, but in fact, had run away with three other omegas from the orphanage.”
