Chapter 68. New Home

Isla's POV:

It was worth watching him when he saw how I transformed into a huge blue wolf with piercing yellow eyes. The knife fell off from his hands and his lips quivered as he tried to speak but no words came out.

"Who… "

His eyes rolled back into the sockets and he hit the ground. His head struck against the coffee table and I smelled blood leaking out of his skull.

I got back in my human form and quickly sat beside him. He was motionless and his eyes were closed. I checked his nerves and realised that he was breathing.

I could heal him right now and he wouldn't have be suffering for so long. But something in me told me to not do that. I didn't want him to tell everyone about my presence. It would grab attention of everyone including Alpha Caden who must be keeping an eye on the human world too.

'Let him die. '

I agreed with Riley and estimated the time for his death. In next two hours, he would die.
