Chapter 21. What's Funny?

"Why am I here exactly?", she asked with sharp eyes. Kavinsky flinched at first before dipping his hand into his back pocket. He brought out a paper and unfolded it. It turned out to be a flier.

He placed it in front of Kaylee and she sat up to look at it.

"So?", she asked coldly.

"It's a musical competition", he stated as a matter of fact.

"Yeah, I am not blind. I can see that 'cause it's literally in front of me!", her voice raised at the end of the sentence.

"You have quite a temper", Kavinsky said and shivered jokingly and Kaylee rolled her yes for yet, the umpteenth time.

"I want you to teach me the piano or better still, we could perform together. With your piano skills, we would not have a problem winning", Kavinsky explained and Kaylee stared at him for a while before answering.

"How did you get this? The competition is next month and I don't see any fliers around school"
