Chapter 94. Who the Hell Do You Think You Are?

I felt nervous. Carla's presence in the hospital was not positive. I'm sure she overheard what I told my parents. Carla heard me confess that I still love Dean. Both of us were in a war zone, and I knew she would retaliate against me for admitting my love for Dean.

I tried to sit up on the bed.

"Sorry, I didn't know you were here with her," Carla apologized.

I wanted to kick her out of my room, but she would retaliate against me soon too. I didn't want to give her more reasons to hate me. I could barely handle everything that was happening in my life.

"Why are you here, Carla?" my mother asked. "She needs to be calm, and I don't think your presence here is positive for Lena to get better. Remember that you are one reason Lena is in the hospital."

I didn't expect my mother to defend me against Carla. I wanted to smile, but I spared the smile to avoid future problems with Carla.
