“He trained her. He knows her too well. Today is the first time she’s ever beaten him in a fight,” Eli said for me.

“You’re insane, Daisy,” Jasper said. “Look at you, I’m surprised you’re not in a worse state!”

“I’ve been worse. I’m fine. I just need to rest,” I said. “My head is killing me. God, everything’s killing me.”

“I wonder why that is?” Eli muttered. “You could’ve blown the whole mission, Daisy.”

“I knew what I was doing,” I mumbled.

“No, Blake got you annoyed and you acted without thinking,” Eli scolded.

“Shut up, I’ve got two dads I don’t need another one,” I groaned.

“He’s right, you acted recklessly,” Jasper spoke.

“Fuck off, you know that’s just me,” I sighed. “Hit a girl why she’s down, why don’t you.”

Eli rolled his eyes and Jasper frowned. “I’m sorry he didn’t choose our side.”

“I knew what his answer would be,” I said. “Just as I knew what Adam’s will be. They both owe too much to Rob.”
