Chapter 73

Keith pushed open the car door and stepped out. He glanced up at the towering mansion. The last time he was here was for Leo and Isabella's engagement party. David brought out the luggage from the boot.

Keith didn't intend to stay for long. He wouldn't have even come because he preferred Sonoma and its redwood forests. But Elena had been begging him to come over. In fact, she'd sent David all the way to Sonoma to pick him up.

“Welcome, Keith,” Armano said to him, taking the luggage from David.

“Never mind, Armano.”

"I'll wheel it myself. Just show me where I'll be sleeping," Keith said.

Armano handed him the luggage and proceeded into the house. Keith followed him. He had seen the interior of the house too many times–from the Calacatta flooring to the crystal chandelier to the antique furniture pieces. He believed the house was merely a display of excess wealth. It wasn't something he fancied.
