Chapter 78

As Keith came out of his room, he saw Paige in the corridor. As soon as she sighted him, she tried to walk away. But he caught her pace. She turned to him, looking nervous and unable to hold his gaze. He leaned in, his hand pressing against the wall. It blocked her path. He couldn't let her go without expressing what he felt.

“Seems like you've been avoiding me,” Keith said.

"Avoiding you? I’ve been busy," she said.

"It’s because of the kiss, right?"

She still couldn’t look him in the eye.

"You’re doing it again," he said. "Not looking me in the eye while I’m talking to you."

"I really do not want to get into any trouble, Keith."

"Is this about Elena?"

"She might accuse me of throwing myself at you or seducing you. I really do not want to bring any problem upon my parents."
