I might be the only one who has realized that Rhys has been developing feelings for Ginger. Maybe everyone else knows, but they're pretending not to, maybe none of them want to tell me a reality that will affect me. It's not that I'm mad at Rhys or that he and I can't talk like men about it, we've only had clashes, we haven't been able to resolve the last argument we had.

It worries me that my best friend hasn't told me anything or said anything about what he's been feeling, it's like we're both drifting away, I don't like the feeling of loss that it generates. I want our friendship to last for a lifetime, I want to feel good with him and feel that we're together not just because of interest or the habit of being friends.

Friendships can resemble romantic relationships, they have to be taken care of, managed well, try to think things through, and always have reasonable communication.
