Chapter 34. Accident

Anna could barely keep her eyes open while in Lucien’s arms in the back of the car. She felt very tired and sleepy, but all she wanted to do at that moment was watch him. She was thinking to herself how much it had cost her to be close to him.

She blinked. He was looking back at her tenderly. But she couldn’t get it out of her head. She had watched him kill Rhino, and she also saw Drex die. The hole in his head was still in her memory. She gagged and sat up immediately in an attempt not to choke on her vomit.
