“Do I need to make up a room for you?” asked Aurora. “After this morning’s… reunion, I figured you would just sleep with Lady Tasia and hadn’t prepped a bed for you.”

“I don’t sleep,” said Dana. “If you ever catch me sleeping, then something is horribly wrong.”

“Is it because of Lily?” asked Aurora.

“No,” said Dana. “I trust her completely. My inability to sleep is a previously existing condition.”

“If it’s just insomnia, I have some sleeping pills,” Aurora offered.

Dana set down her phone and fixed Aurora with a stare. “I don’t fall asleep. Ever. Haven’t for a couple of years. I’m physically incapable of it.”

“But… why?” Aurora was puzzled. Dana didn’t look tired. Even if she were to pump her body full of stimulants, she would still need sleep at some point.
