Chapter 108. I'm Not a Child

Din and Jessie prepared for the station. She changed into a cozier outfit and was interested to hear what James had to say. Why would he want her to visit the station as well? 

Din assisted her in opening the door, and she entered. Jessie dissuaded him from trying to assist her with her seatbelt. "I'm not a child. I can handle it myself," she declared. 

"All right." He started the vehicle and pulled away from the garage. Jessie said nothing on the way to the station. Taylor Swift's Folklore album was playing through the headphones she was wearing. The music gave her solace. 

Din continued to cast sidelong glances at her. He was perplexed as to what he had done to offend Jessie. Jessie was a happy person, and the first time he saw her mad was in Vegas and also at his office when she came to tell him she didn't want to marry him. He doesn't understand why she is now furious with him. 

"We are here." As he spoke, he brought the car to a stop
