Chapter 52. In the Shadow of Old Friends

Jessie stepped up to him, placing her foot on the ground. As he lay there shaking, he was drenched in sweat and muttering in an unintelligible speech.

She tried to wake him up, but he became loud. He was crying for help, and she noticed he was having a nightmare.

Was it about his parents, or something else entirely? She had assumed this because she knew it was his only childhood trauma.

She sat next to him and tried to comfort him by cradling him in her arms. Din's eyes sprung open, he was drenched in cold sweat, shivering, and his heart was racing. Suspicious and worried that the terror had followed him here, he looked about the room. He shivers as he rises, rubs his head and eyes, and tries to completely awaken then he notices Jessie next to him.
