In England, Chloe was talking to Halter in the other line.

"So you're saying that the attractive business partner who attended the event will build a new business in New York?" Chloe asked over the phone.

"That's what Uncle told me after his meeting with the Bridgertons," Halter replied.

"You mean your uncle is the company's senior partner?"

"Yeah you're right."

Chloe grinned. "I'm excited to invest in that company; I'd like to meet Mr. Bridgertons and collaborate with him on a project; perhaps this is my chance to get close to him."

"You need to get here as soon as possible," Halter sneered. “Because you could still be ahead and miss out on getting close to him."

“No one can surpass my beauty and intelligence, Halter. I know you've known me all along." Chloe believes Halter is still interested in her, especially since he recently ended his relationship with Helen. "See you soon, Halter."
