Chapter 40

In the afternoon, in Damian’s apartment, near the street.

“Why don’t you allow me to speak with Celine? So I could explain everything to her.” Damian said, he is sitting in front of Leon. 

Leon and Kallen, together with Logan, visited him again in his apartment. It seems that the old man is living alone. But that is not important for Leon. He needs more information about Celine’s father.

“That is not your job.” Leon replied seriously. He threw the paper on the table.

“What is this?”

“Open it.”

Damian opened the paper and read. “This is an agreement.”

“Yes. From now on, you will work for me.” 

Damian was surprised because he didn’t ask Leon for a job.

“I-It’s not what I want, I want to talk to Celine.” he refused.

“You can’t talk to my wife until your transaction with me is finished. You want to help, don’t you?”

Damian shook his head. “I’m too old for work,”

“Well, Mr. Old man. You have to work for me
