Chapter 61. Kept Waiting

I arrived in his office at the same time as Vinnie, but we never spoke a word to each other in the open, we just pretended not to know each other as we walked in different directions, going on the same mission. She has a flash drive, and so do I. There is a technician waiting for us in my house with a few guards watching closely so he doesn’t plant bugs in my house while I’m away.

These days you can’t be too careful, you know, and you can’t trust people so easily either. I mean, Nathan trusts me and Laura trusts her best friend too. But here we are, plotting against them, trying to separate them and also destroy their companies. I can’t let anyone come so close to destroying everything my father has worked so hard to achieve. So I had to get extra security just to make sure my house was safe, even in my absence.
