Chapter 28. Enemies

Waking up I glance around.

I'm still in the sitting room, and a fluffy throw covers my body. 

"He's fine. Just needs to be careful. The guy is dead, at least we don't have to worry about chasing the guy around and trying to find him." I hear Calix and stay quiet.

"You say he's fine, but he wasn't this morning Cal." I hear Marcello.

"I meant physically Marc, not mentally. Give him a chance to come back to reality. Don't push him, Marc, I know you. Don't tell him he shouldn't have tried to protect you, had he not you would be dead." 

Calix's words shock me.

"I won't, I didn't even see him coming at me with the knife," Marcello explains.

"Well, I guess you stay here today. Keep a watch on him, Marc, he might slip again. Doubtful but we never know." Calix sounds hurt, and I want to know what has happened but at the same time, I don't want to know.

"When do you plan to wake her Cal?" He means me.
