Chapter 66. Running

The first hour I was fine, then boredom set in. Cal had given em work to do for the businesses and such, but even that isn’t distracting my mind. I go over tomorrow, wondering who it could be. Then, I see Cal’s face this morning. It was a look I hadn’t seen before.

One that had me questioning the real motive behind given me my freedom. It seems weird he would do it, especially now, when he knew I didn’t want it. Something was there, I saw it on his face I just can’t work it out.

I stay in the room with Troy and the guys, when I need the toilet two of them stand in the hall waiting, just to be sure I am safe. It makes me laugh however, they would know before anyone got up here. We’re on the top floor, and I know there are guards at the bottom and also on some other levels. All entrances have guards on them too.

Sitting, I listen to Troy talking, he’s on the phone, sounding rather annoyed. His eyes glance to me as he talks. Something has happened, I watch
