Chapter 5
Muffled laughter resonated, followed by a whisper as someone sat beside the patient on the bed.
“That is, if he is still alive,” the man, who had just entered the room, replied.
“Of course, he’s alive. And I believe he conveyed Lucifer’s greetings,” said another man.
“Lucifer,” the doctor murmured under her breath.
Before she could say anything else, she heard a whisper near her ear, the voice of the person who had been comfortably seated a moment ago.
“Yes, it’s me, Lucifer. Remember that name well, my child. Now, you may write your report and let him go.”
Without giving her a chance to respond, he walked away, heading towards the door. Just before leaving, he turned and looked at the wounded man, giving an order.
“Get up, you lazybones. You have tasks to accomplish. Make sure he reaches the mansion safely, Cooper. Let’s go.”
He exited the room, followed closely by the person who had just arrived, while the rest of them moved to help
