Chapter 139. A Freak in the Sheets

“Knock, knock, stranger,” I call out softly as I turn the polished brass doorknob and step inside the room.

In typical Sophia fashion, her bedroom is spotless. The large bed is made to perfection with a dozen soft throw pillows stacked neatly against the headboard, and I’m sure there’s not a single speck of dust anywhere in this entire room. Sophia is always ready and meticulous, completely organized for anything life throws her way—it’s honestly one of the traits I admire most about her.

I sit down on her soft mattress, throwing my body backward and letting my muscles mold into the plush memory foam for a quiet moment while I take the time to collect the crazy thoughts running rampant in my mind.
