There’s a certain sadness evident in Beta Don’s eyes. A look that I can’t help but feel is burned into my memory. I tried to lighten the mood but as the mere mention of Sophia’s 18th birthday party rolled off my tongue, I’m sure that Beta Don and I both felt the heaviness of the truth also followed.
