Mason’s POV
Nathan’s been rubbing his face like he’s about to walk into a war zone instead of a restaurant.
He hasn’t said much since we left the house, but the way he keeps dragging his hands over his face and muttering under his breath tells me everything I need to know. He’s bracing himself, trying to hold on to the last thread of control he’s got left before Harper cuts it clean.
