Chapter 21
Harper’s POV
I can’t breathe. Well, I can, but not the kind of deep, calming breath that settles nerves. My chest rises and falls with shallow, fluttering pulls of air as I sit there, kneeling like I was told, heart pounding behind my ribs like it’s trying to tear free. They’re waiting. All three of them. They aren’t pushing or demanding, but I can feel the weight of their eyes on me, watching. And it’s not just lust. It’s assessment and curiosity. It's hunger held tightly on a leash. I thought I was prepared, I thought that I was ready to do this, but my stomach is flipping and I'm lost. I want to do this, moreso now than before.
I know what I have to do. This part was clear from the beginning. The first move is mine. I have to show them I’m ready, that I understand what I agreed to by coming here. That I’m not afraid. Or, at the very least, that I’m willing despite the nerves
