Patrick Banks POV
Fredrick had been blowing up my phone but I intentionally ignored him. Whatever he had to say to me, he could tell my assistant and he would pass the message to me.
I wasn’t in the mood to go back and forth with the man.
I was even tempted to switch off my phone, but I didn’t want to miss any other important call or text just because of one man.
A few minutes later, I got a call from my assistant.
Letting out a deep sigh, I answered the call and pressed it closer to my ear.
“So your phone is working after all, and you’ve been ignoring all my calls?” Fredrick’s angry voice echoed through the other end of the line.
Damn, he caught me off guard.
I would have known he would pull some move like that and wouldn’t have answered the call from my assistant.
I exhaled sharply. “I’m sorry…what is the issue?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
“Why didn’t you show up to work today?” He demanded, his voice stern
