I thought taking Liam to New York would fix all my problems. But it just made everything worse.

A part of me felt like Valerie would be forced to move with us, so she would be closer to her son. Every day that passed, I hoped she would change her mind and realize that she couldn’t live without us. Without Liam at least.

But no, she still stuck to her decision.

Sometimes, I wondered what was going through her head. What was she planning? I never imagined that Valerie would go two weeks without seeing Liam.

No matter how much I tried to reach her, she always ignored my texts and calls. Even when she was on the phone with Liam and I tried to speak to her, she ended up hanging up the call.

I even tried contacting her through her mother, but she ignored her mother too.

Everything was my fault and I needed to fix it.

Even if I finally had Liam in my life, I still felt incomplete. I didn’t get the satisfaction I was looking
