"I'm sorry, Niana, but I can't join you. As I mentioned before, I have other responsibilities to attend to," Stefani said to her best friend on the phone.

Niana was asking her to come at the party later. But because of what happened between Piolo and Jacob, she didn't want that to happen again.

"Shall we go?"

Stefani glanced up and noticed Jacob descending the stairs. She nodded and was about to head off and end the call when Niana interjected once again, this time playfully. "So, you're able to decline your best friend's invitation now because you're busy with your husband, huh?"
